These jewelry plates were made by twisting two different colors of clay until you have an evenly dispersed marble pattern. Roll out into a slab, and then cut the two round pieces into two separate plates. Believe it or not, these were heated up in an oven on a cookie sheet. To get the gold perimeter, all you need to do is draw around both plates with a gold paint pen. We can definitely do this in our class but instead of using an oven, we can use a kiln.
